Sacred Heart School is a brand new, purpose-built special school located on the grounds of St. Finian's College.
Sacred Heart is a special school for pupils with designated abilities termed moderate and severe and profound general learning disabilities and those with autism. Our pupils range in age from four to eighteen.
We are a Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Meath.
The successful candidate should hold a recognised qualification to teach religion in a Catholic primary school.
The following criteria are desirable:
Teaching experience in a special education setting, knowledge and understanding of strategies to promote positive behaviour, knowledge and experience of assisting pupils with the development of their communication skills (Lámh/AAC Devices).
Appointment will be subject, but not limited to: satisfactory references, current and continuing teaching council registration, Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
Due to expansion and an increase in pupil enrolment, we have the following 5 positions available: 2 Permanent Teaching Posts, 1 Temporary Fixed-Term Teaching Post, 1 Exceptional Fixed-Term Teaching Post and 1 Maternity Leave Post.
