Part time 2 Year fixed Contract

We are recruiting for a Play Therapy Coordinator role for a 2 year pilot project which will take place in up to 8 schools in the Greystones area. This role is a new position, created specifically to oversee the implementation of schools based play therapy. It is a part time position and is a critical part of this new and collaborative piece of work between Greystones Family Resource Centre, the HSE and It Takes A Village community group.
‘It Takes A Village’ is a positive well-being initiative borne out of concerns expressed by teachers in primary schools located in the Greystones and Delgany areas of County Wicklow. The initiative seeks to support children, families and teachers in need of support where issues of anxiety and other challenges have been identified in young children in the eight primary schools in the community.
Greystones Family Resource Centre, which is part of the National Family and Community based support programme is supporting the role out and governance of this pilot project under the guidance of an Independent Steering Committee. The project, aimed at supporting children and their families, is being funded by HSE through Healthy Ireland
This role will hold responsibility for the management and implementation of the overall delivery of play therapy in across up to 8 schools in Greystones area. The Schools Play Therapy Coordinator will work closely with school principals, teachers and the Steering Committee to ensure the smooth delivery of the programme. It will include management of two Play Therapists who will be based in school settings and will follow the Model of Care as outlined by the Steering Committee.
We are seeking a highly qualified individual with at least 3 years experience in a school setting and with full accreditation and membership of relevant bodies. Contract will be for a 2 year fixed, part time basis, suitable for individuals who are registered as self employed.
