An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The BOM of the Mid West School for the Deaf invites applications from highly dedicated and qualified candidates for the positions of permanent SNAs one full time and one part time (0.33) to join our team. Experience in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, experience in working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students and qualifications in Irish Sign Language are highly desirable. The successful candidates must be willing to attend registered QQI courses in Irish Sign Language and any other relevant CPD. They must also be willing to work with primary and post primary students and with students who have additional medical needs.
Applicants invited to interview will be required to bring proof of qualifications. A mobile phone number for referees is essential. Appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting and current OHS requirements. Only those shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
