An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
One of these posts are infant day (0.83) and (0.5) post. It is anticipated that one post will be based in our Autism class. Therefore experience in an autism class setting is essential.
Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education Skills 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars. The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review. Applicants must demonstrate the specific competencies and requirements to meet the special educational and care needs of children. Candidates must be able to works well as part of a team, be flexible, display strong work ethic, demonstrate a willingness to avail of frequent further training in order to best meet the needs of the pupils in their care, respect the ethos of the school and be willing to work under the direction of the class teachers, SET co-ordinator and School Principal.
Candidates submitting a PF1 form must do so at time of application. Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health screening and satisfactory references.
