Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent position, of 0.83 hours, from 9.10am to 2.10pm. The 0.83 hours is based on the Junior Infant day that pupils in our new autism class will be in school for, which has created the opening for this new post. These hours may increase or decrease subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review. There will be a bus escort role available after the Infant day.
Applicants should have previous experience working in an SNA role.
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in relevant CPD and be enthusiastic, flexible and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
SNAs work in both mainstream and special class settings in our school. The setting is subject to change on a regular basis, at the discretion of the school principal.
A fixed –term jobshare position is also available at the school, working full hours on a week on, week off basis. If you are interested in applying for this position also, please mention this in your letter of application. There is no need to send two separate applications.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, Garda vetting requirements, occupational health screening and completion of Children First training.
