An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Balscadden NS is a fully vertical, mixed school with one of each class (no splits) situated just outside Balbriggan. We have a collaborative culture in our school with a welcoming, community feel. We have an excellent Droichead team who will support teachers through the process and their first year in teaching. Our school is high achieving with excellent parental support. There will be lots of opportunity for the successful candidate to use their individual talents to enhance the education and experiences of the children. We take a team based approach here in Balscadden to ensure staff are fully supported and so that we can achieve the best outcomes for our children. We have a great team of Support teachers and SNAs who work collaboratively to ensure the success of all in our school community.
