An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

There are 2 fixed term vacancies to be filled.

1 x Mainstream class teacher for 3rd and 4th class (multigrade)

1 x Shared SET post (4 days in our school and 1 day in St. Fin Barre's NS). One day in our school would be covering principal release time (covering 5th and 6th class).

For both roles, experience in a multiclass setting as preferable. Good classroom management skills, ICT skills and an ability to work well as part of the staff and team. Working on ones own initiative and demonstration of leadership skills and an interest in taking on and leading initiatives is also preferable.

We are an inclusive school. Candidates should ideally have experience with special educational needs as well as a good ability to challenge high achievers.
