An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Jonah Special School invite applications for a permanent teacher position starting 27th August
2025. Jonah Special School is a school for students with Autism and Complex Needs, aged 4 to
18 years. The successful candidate should have experience teaching students with
Autism and Complex Needs along with showing willingness to work as part of a team and participate in school activities. Evidence of TPL in positive behaviour strategies and
autism along with experience teaching the Junior Cycle Programme would be advantageous.
Candidates must be registered with the Teaching Council and should demonstrate a willingness
to avail of further training.
