Applications are invited for a part-time evening caretaker in Our Lady’s School, Terenure.
This is a 29 hour a week role to include weekend opening and closing of the school facility.

The ideal candidate will have experience in general DIY, building maintenance, painting, power tools, janitorial/cleaning and an understanding of cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment.
The role may include plumbing, carpentry, management of heating systems, fire/burglar alarms, keyholder/security systems, locking systems and CCTV.
Duties also include landscaping, use of ride on lawn mowers, outdoor/garden tools, manual handling, furniture movement and building safety.
The successful candidate will also be community focused, patient, kind, generous and enjoy working as part of a large staff team with the best interests of children and young people’s social and emotional wellbeing and education at heart.
Often the caretaker is the first person a visitor meets, so a welcoming disposition along with a high level of professionalism and diligence is also needed.
National guidelines in child safeguarding must be met and appropriate Garda vetting completed prior to any appointment.
