An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Experience supporting pupils with Assistive technology an advantage. Experience working in a special class setting would be advantageous.
Please outline in your cv application all relevant CPD courses completed to date relevant to working with pupils with ASD.
Candidates must be willing to engage with Croke Park hours and to engage in upskilling and training as required.
Experience of TEACHH and ABC approach an advantage.
Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviours and training in this area and advantage.
It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working in a special class including working with pupils of all ages, assisting pupils with intimate care, feeding and accessing activities. Additional relevant qualifications such as PECS, Lámh and manual handling would be desirable.
Duties will be in line with the most recent circular available online on www.education.ie.
This post will be filled in accordance with Department of Education guidelines and circulars, medical fitness, reference checking and Vetting disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau.
