The Board of Management of Kilcrohane NS invites applications from Candidates for the position of part-time (0.5 - Fixed Term) Special Needs Assistant in our school. This is a job share post.
It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working with diabetes, Epilepsy, ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome and Neurodivergent children.
Assistance with personal hygiene and medical needs are desirable. Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD course which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team, work on his/her own initiative and display a strong work ethic.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the ethos of the school. They must show a willingness to be involved in school activities, always respecting the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils.
This appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements, OHS Requirements and completion of TUSLA online Child Safeguarding Training.
Applicants who are deemed to be a member of the supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed panel form 1 (PF1) with their application.
This position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
