An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Special Needs Assistant – (fixed term positions commencing August 27th required by Scoil Aislinn, Boreenmanna Road, Cork, Roll Number 20331L. This is a 7 teacher co- educational specialist primary school, under the patronage of Horizons, The Atrium, Blackpool, Cork. Scoil Aislinn is committed to providing a quality education for pupils with autism and high complex needs offering a range of child-centered autism specific education which draws on a range of evidence based interventions. The qualifications and conditions of service for this post are as specified by the Department of Education & Science. Candidates must have experience of working in a classroom setting with students with Autism and complex needs. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school, work well as part of a team, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training. Duties include working with students of all ages, assisting students in the swimming pool and supporting students with challenging behaviours.
