An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Naomh Feichin is a large rural primary school with an enrolment of 314 pupils. The school comprises 13 mainstream classes and 2 special classes for children with autism. Applications are invited from fully registered teachers (under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council).

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
An understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos of Scoil Naomh Feichin and an ability to support and promote school-parish links.
A high level of understanding and knowledge of special educational needs and of inclusion and diversity in education.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Proven leadership skills.
A commitment to and evidence of continuing and relevant professional development.
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives.
Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer a school.
Proven experience in prioritising, planning and policy development.
A sound understanding and evidence of leadership in the four domains of Leadership and Management aligned to Looking at Our Schools 2022.
