Recruitment by the NCSE for the Position of Inclusion Advisors for Education & Curriculum and Autism Behaviour for Learning & Wellbeing Teams (Full Time Secondment Opportunities for the 2025/2026 school year)
Job Description
The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) is an independent statutory body established to improve the delivery of education services to persons with special educational needs arising from disabilities with particular emphasis on children and young people.
Currently NCSE supports are delivered via our regional teams comprising of:
• Special Educational Needs Organisers (SENOs) who interact with parents and schools to support children with special education needs.
• Inclusion Advisors who provide Teacher Professional Learning (TPL) and in-school support to schools in the area of special educational needs.
• Visiting teachers (VTs) who support children and young people who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Blind/Visually Impaired, their families and their teachers.
• On a pilot basis, the NCSE have Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Behaviour Practitioners who provide professional learning and in-school support to schools to build schools’ capacity to support students with special education needs.
• Head office and other personnel.
The NCSE is now recruiting for full-time secondment Inclusion Advisor positions which are required to support the work of the NCSE for the 2025/2026 school year. The NCSE will establish panels of qualified applicants to form a panel throughout the country.
There are two teams within the advisor support service who empower educators to create inclusive learning environments for all children and young people, embracing neurodiversity through affirming practices.
1. The Education and Curriculum Team
2. Autism, Behaviour for Learning and Wellbeing Team
The positions will be nationwide, and will be filled on a regional basis
