An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Red Door School are seeking to appoint bus escort commencing as soon as possible. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school. There are a number of routes available, please see detail below;

Additional bus escort required on below routes;
Clonskeagh-Monkstown
Tallaght - Monkstown

We are also seeking a bus escorts for the following routes not in operation;
Ringsend-Monkstown
Sandyford-Monkstown

Finally, we are seeking relief cover for all of our bus routes above, as well as a route from;
Newcastle (in dubin) - Monkstown.

The contract is subject to change should pupils join/leave the service. Escorts must be able to meet bus at first pickup point. Further details on hours of work can be supplied following inquiry/application.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €15.50 per hour processed fortnightly during during school term time. Escorts are not paid over school holidays but receive holiday pay instead.
