POST DETAILS
Title:
Liturgical and Pastoral Support
Description:
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to a Liturgical and Pastoral Support role in our Ethos Department. The College has a wonderfully creative and innovative liturgical programme, and the post holder will be responsible for its continued development. The person appointed will co-ordinate our liturgical programme, support ethos-related activity in the College, and demonstrate a passion for our faith-based programmes.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, and have an authentic interest in, and passion for liturgy, Catholic Education and its values. The post will be particularly attractive to someone who is well-versed in liturgy formation, pastoral work and/or youth ministry. Applications are also encouraged from outstanding, more recently qualified candidates.
An understanding of the unique aspects of boarding school life will be desirable though not essential.
This is a term time post and the core hours will be 40 hours per week from late August to the end of the academic year in late May/early June. Some flexibility will be required to ensure the smooth coordination of our liturgical programme and Sunday Liturgy, and other events organised by the Ethos Department.
Please contact the Headmaster’s PA (mkeane@clongowes.net) for further information. Candidates should submit a completed application form and a separate letter highlighting their personal qualities and experience by email to arrive as soon as possible though no later than Friday 28th March 2025. Interviews will be held before Easter on site or via MS Teams/Zoom.
Clongowes Wood College is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to Child Safeguarding. The successful candidate will be subject to Garda Vetting prior to taking up this position.
