An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Brigid's NS invites applicants from highly dedicated candidates for the position of Special Needs Assistant. We have one post and the successful candidate will be required to work within the mainstream and/or autism class setting. We are looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school, someone who is energetic and enthusiastic, who can contribute to our team and work on her/his own and under the guidance of the principal and class teacher. Experience of working with autism, ADHD, EBD is desirable.
Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
