This post is in a class for children with ASD and an Intellectual Disability between the mild to moderate range for pupils aged 4 to 12 years old.
Candidates must have experience of working in an ASD specific class of pupils with highly complex needs and challenging behaviours. Practical experience in the promotion of positive behaviour strategies is desirable. Experience in and knowledge of pedagogy and practice associated with an ASD class is highly desirable. Experience in the use of PECS, LAMH and the TEACCH approach will be required in this special school setting.
