An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Drumfad NS invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of Special Needs Assistant in multi-grade setting.
We have one standard position of 0.83 (Infant day)
> We are looking for candidates who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school.
> Good communication and interpersonal skills.
> We are seeking professionals who demonstrate the highest standards of confidentiality in all aspects of their role and have a strong commitment to maintaining the trust of children, parents, and colleagues.
> The successful candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and able to contribute effectively to our team while working on their own initiative.
> Candidates must be willing to undertake courses that relate to the needs of the children and the school.
> Experience and/or training in working with children with ASD, ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties and visual impairments is desirable.
> Good record-keeping and report-writing skills, with ICT skills an advantage.
The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review. Appointment will be subject to standard vetting requirements.
