St. Mary's High School is an all girls secondary school under the trusteeship of the CEIST with an enrolment of 770 students.
The Board of Management invites applications for the part-time position of School Caretaker. The appointment is subject to Garda Vetting and the successful candidate will also be required to undertake TUSLA Child Protection training. The ideal candidate will have experience in general DIY and minor repairs, building maintenance, painting and decorating, management of heating systems & fire alarm and keyholding. Duties also include use of lawn mower, outdoor/garden tools, manual handling, furniture movement and building safety.
This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period. Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential. 20 hours a week (over 3 days) with occasional flexibility required during school events.
The position is advertised in line with relevant Circular Letters governing the recruitment and appointment of school caretakers.
