An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Marino Community Special School requires a substitute Bus Escort for the Bray area (FROM ASHFORD TO BRAY RETURN) this school year – 2024-2025.
We will also compile a panel of substitute Bus Escorts to cover possible absences or future vacancies arising over the school year 2024-2025.
This position will require the successful candidates to be available to work in the morning and in the afternoon, Monday to Friday on all days the school is open during the school year (182 days in total). Hours of work are in keeping with the school calendar starting in January 2025 and based on Bus Éireann timesheets.
The ideal candidate will be:
· Responsible for assisting pupils on and off the bus and to ensure pupils’ safety when travelling
· Responsible for observing and supervising pupils when travelling
· Responsible for communication between home and school
· Sensitive and respectful in all dealings with pupils in the school, parents and bus drivers
· Enthusiastic, energetic and flexible
· In a position to rendezvous with the bus driver at an agreed location
· Available to work in keeping with the school calendar (182 school days)
- Have basic First Aid and Manual Handling Training up to date
Salary Scale: hourly rate as determined by the Department of Education and Skills
The successful applicant must be Garda Vetted by the school before commencing the post.
