Additional Information:
St. Patrick's College, Cavan are looking for a Special Needs Assistant who will support the learning of our students with Additional Educational Needs. This is newly sanctioned 2 position/s following an exceptional review by the NCSE on the SE needs of our students.
Essential:
• A QQI level 3 major qualification on the national framework of qualifications or a minimum of three grade Ds in the Junior Cert or equivalent.
• Duties will be in line with the most recent circular available online at
https://www.education.ie/en/Circulars-and-Forms/Active-Circulars/cl0030_2014.pdf
• Applicants should also demonstrate a professional, flexible, self-motivated and caring approach to the role and display initiative in the area of Special Needs Support.
• They must be capable of working with and supporting a range of special educational needs - emotional, behavioural, physical, medical and personal care needs.
• The successful candidate must also be a team player who is willing to collaborate closely with colleagues in creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be required. Interviews will be held shortly after the closing date and will be held in person.

Closing date is 20/01/25 at 4pm. Interviews will be held week beginning 20/01/25. Shortlisting may apply. Commencement date approx 27/01/25.
