An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This advertisement is for one 0.83 (Infant Day hours) SNA position in the school (5 days per week, 9am - 2pm).
Qualifications as set out by the Department of Education and Skills for this post (see DES Circular 0051/2019). Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars. Duties of the post are subject to change depending on the care needs of the pupils and the school.
The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.
Experience of working with children who have additional needs; including in a mainstream class setting and ASD is desirable. Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be responsive and sensitive to arising additional needs of the school, be confidential, show a willingness to engage in upskilling/CPD, work on their own initiative, show flexibility, patience, kindness and care in their day to day duties and contribute positively to the work of our existing team.
Appointments will be subject to satisfactory references, patron approval, current vetting requirements, online Tusla Child Protection, occupational health screening and satisfying DES appointment criteria.
Applicants who are on the SNA Supplementary panel must furnish a certified copy of completed Panel Form PF1 with their application.

If called for interview, the applicant must be available to attend in person at the assigned date and time.
