Title:
Agricultural Science Co-ordinator
Description:
ob description: The successful candidate will work with Agri Aware to co-ordinate and deliver educational material in both written and verbal formats for a new educational programme. The successful candidate will be a highly competent and confident communicator with teaching experience in agricultural science or biology. The role will also include the curation of lessons, teaching resources and administrative duties for existing educational programmes.
Location: Agri Aware follows a hybrid working structure with both remote and in office work. The Agri Aware office is based at the The Irish Farm Centre, Naas Rd, Drimnagh, Dublin 12.
Responsibilities:
● Co-ordinate and develop agricultural education programmes
● Research topics and prepare age-appropriate lesson plans
● Assist in the creation of educational resources for secondary school students
● Attendance at events, as required, with evening and weekend work. These will be compensated with Time Off In Lieu.
● Assist with administrative duties for all educational programmes, as required.
Essential Requirements:
● A full clean driver’s licence
● Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
● Ability to work on your own initiative
● Experience working with young people and/or groups
● Strong written communication skills
● Willing and able to adapt to different levels of consumer knowledge and a dynamic working environment.
● Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Agricultural Science or Biology
Desirable:
● Knowledge of crop science and native Irish species
● Knowledge of agriculture and Irish food production
● Basic animal husbandry skills
● Irish language speaker.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
