The bus escort must be available every morning to accompany the child on the bus/taxi to school and every afternoon to accompany the child home from school. . This position will require availability to work 5 days per week for the academic year. Good communication skills are essential and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable. The successful candidate will be:
 Responsible for assisting pupils in and out of the bus and to ensure pupils' safety when travelling
 Responsible for observing and supervising pupils while travelling
 Responsible for communication between home and school.
 Observe confidentiality in all aspects of work.
The hourly rate of pay is €13.40 per hour, in line with the Department of Education and Skills guidelines for school bus escorts
Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements and verification of references
