Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
Applicants should demonstrate their ability to work as part of a school team under the direction of the class teacher, special education teacher and Principal and display a strong work ethic.
Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
Desirable skills include
• willingness to undertake courses which relate to the needs of the children and of the school
• suitability to the school and the needs of the pupils in the school.
• Adherence to the ethos and culture of the school
Qualifications as set out by the Department of Education and Skills for this post (see DES Circular 0051/2019).
Duties of the post are subject to change depending on the care needs of the pupils and the school.
Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education Skills 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars. The posts are subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.
Appointment is subject to the sanction of the Minister and Patron, satisfactory references, compliance with Garda Vetting and completion of a Statutory Declaration and Pre-Employment Occupational Health Screening for SNAs and completion of the online Túsla Child Safeguarding training.

Candidates who hold a PF1 form must submit it with their application.
Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates.
