Additional Information:
St. Joseph's Adolescent School is attached to St. Vincent's Hospital, Fairview, Dublin 3 and the HSE. It is recognised by the Department of Education and Skills as a Special School for students, aged 13 to 18 years, experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. The school operates under the rules and regulations of the primary school sector and consequently teachers will be required to teach up to the end of June should substitution be required. The secondary curriculum up to Leaving Certificate is provided and students are prepared for State Examinations. Some students are supported in courses such as FETAC/QQI or alternative educational programmes.
The teaching staff work collaboratively with the clinical staff of the hospital as part of the Multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be teaching in our school at 44 North Great Georges Street and St Vincent's Hospital Fairview.
A qualification to teach Business, Accounting and Economics an advantage. Experience in Drama Studies/PE/Guidance Counselling welcome.
The substitute would be required to cover parental leave in academic year 2024/2025 starting Sept 30th 2024.
