The key elements of this role are:
To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children.
To ensure that the holistic needs and well-being of the children are being met.
To actively engage the children in developmentally appropriate learning activities to facilitate the potential development of each child.
To act as a role model for the children and parents.
To implement, plan and review the classroom curriculum including observations and reporting.
To show initiative and creativity in the planning, organisation and communication of all activities.
To demonstrate passion and commitment to the provision of the highest standards of education, activities, and care.
To promote an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment.
To ensure the Montessori philosophy and Aistear Curriculum are followed and enhanced at all times.
To meet established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice.
To have excellent written and verbal communication skills need to document and maintain all relevant records
To contribute to the team effort and to attend staff meetings and social events as and when required

Classroom experience: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
FETAC/QQI Level 7 (preferred)
