Scoil na Mainistreach Quin Dangan are seeking to appoint a bus escort commencing Thursday 29th August 2024. The escort will accompany pupils with Special Needs on bus transport from their homes to and from school.
The routes are from the Corbally Limerick area and Dangan area to the school in Quin village and involves 4 hours of work per day, 5 days a week. The bus escort must be available in the mornings from approximately 7.15am to 9.00am and from 1:30pm to 3:45pm during the school term.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seat belts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic delays etc.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
