POST DETAILS
Additional Information:
Clongowes Wood College SJ is one of Ireland’s oldest and most successful 7-day boarding schools for boys, situated 35km west of Dublin, in Co. Kildare. We are committed to the provision of the highest quality Catholic education in the Jesuit tradition.
We are seeking to employ
Music Instrument Teachers
Conductor of the College Orchestra
For late August 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter
The College has a proud tradition of music and provides instruction across a range of musical instruments and voice. We are seeking to appoint energetic and dynamic individuals to provide individual and ensemble musical instrument tuition in strings (violin, viola, cello, and double bass), and woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and saxophone). The posts can be part-time or full-time during the academic year.
The successful candidates will provide tuition to boys across the 12 - 18 age range and prepare them for grade examinations, and for the practical component of Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations.
We are also seeking a suitably qualified and experienced musician to co-ordinate and conduct our College orchestra. This post could be combined with the role of instrumental music teacher or as a standalone post.
The posts are privately paid by the College. A generous pension scheme is available.
Please forward your application by email to the Headmaster’s PA (mkeane@clongowes.net) to arrive no later than Wednesday 21st August 2024. Candidates should submit a completed application form (including three referees), an application letter setting out suitability for the post, and copies of relevant qualifications. Interviews will be held shortly after the closing date.
