Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The escort will accompany pupils on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school. The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, five days per week for the school year.
8am - 9am and 1.30pm - 3pm 12.5 hours per week
Salary: €13.40 per hour (Paid fortnightly)
Holiday pay paid at rate of 8% of hours worked.
Holiday pay payable at Christmas, Easter and at beginning of Summer holidays.
Bank Holidays during school term will be paid.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the children on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the children getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, seeing them into the care of school staff/parents/guardians etc. Good communication skills and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable. He/she must be kind, caring, patient and work well with children.
Please include details of any Continuous Professional Development such as First Aid/Manual Handling etc.
All appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting certification and TUSLA Children First.
