POST DETAILS

Title:
Come teach in 'Aortearoa' New Zealand
Description:
Come and teach in ‘AOTEAROA’ New Zealand!
WE NEED TEACHERS (RIGHT NOW) HERE IN NEW ZEALAND

Fantastic, unspoiled, National Parks
Clean, Clear, Oceans, Lakes and Rivers
Pure air, and sports and outdoor activities galore
World class galleries and orchestras
Fantastic wine, food and ingredients
A blend of Maori, Pacific, Asian and European cultures
What’s not to like!!!

Aotearoa means ‘the land of the long white cloud’ because when the first Polynesian seafarers arrived all they could see was white clouds that stretched out forever. Nowadays, it’s easy to get here by airplane and we are only 24 hours flying away from Dublin, Belfast, London or Manchester, so why don’t you come on down?

Oasis Education is a specialist teacher recruitment company based in Auckland and we are looking to recruit UK trained teachers (from NQT's to twenty-year experts) who wish to work in our schools here in New Zealand, starting from as soon as NOW! (rolling start dates throughout the year to suit).

Opportunities as follows:
• Fulltime Primary Teaching
• Fulltime Secondary Teaching
• Casual relief (Supply) Primary Teaching
• Casual relief (Supply) Secondary Teaching

Remuneration:
• Annual fulltime salaries of up to NZD$95,000 before tax, dependent on qualifications and experience.
• Attractive rates for casual relief (supply) teaching in and around Auckland

Possible International Relocation Grants: (Criteria applies)
The NZ Ministry of Education offers generous one-off international Relocation Grants for teachers taking posts of one year or longer

Visas:
Non-NZ citizens require work eligibility to teach in NZ and Oasis can offer information on options and pathways to obtaining the appropriate visa to enable you to start teaching in NZ

• Working holiday visas: Irish citizens aged 30 years and under are able to travel to
NZ and work casually, for a year (T&Cs apply). This is an excellent way to have an initial ‘look-see’ at Aotearoa and work in some NZ schools while travelling and seeing the country at the same time.

• Accredited Employer Work Visa Over 30 or ineligible for a Working holiday visa? If you have a job offer from a school, this work visa allows you to secure a visa for up to 5 years.

• Pathways to Residency: The NZ Government has opened the country for SKILLED MIGRANT immigration and for those teachers in full time ongoing employment, pathways to residency are now open.

Where to from here?
Oasis would love to meet you by zoom or email to discuss visas; jobs, life in NZ, reference checking etc, and to advise how you can become a registered NZ teacher. We can assist you through this process and help to make your Kiwi dream a reality, so if you possess the skill-set below, don’t hesitate to contact us and let’s make it happen!

Important attributes and skills:
• A teaching qualification i.e., PGCE or B.Ed.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Ideally, some teaching experience
• Ideally, (but not essential) UK citizenship
• The ability to build effective relationships with students.
• The ability to adapt to a new country and new school culture.
• Sound classroom management skills
• Resourcefulness, positivity and independence
• Personal robustness and good health
• Sound IT skills, particularly for using IT in the classroom
• A smile is always helpful!

WE HAVE ROLLING START DATES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO SUIT.
