This is a 0.83 Permanent Post. The position pertains to a Special Class Setting. Applicants holding a Panel Form 1 (PF1) should clearly state this and supply a scanned copy of the form as part of their application.
Applicants should have experience in supporting pupils with intimate care needs., sensory needs, and communication difficulties.
Candidates should be flexible, trustworthy, able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. They must be self-motivated and demonstrate a caring approach to the role. They must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of working with pupils with Autism, EBD, ADHD, and trauma. It would also be desirable to have knowledge and experience of working with children with autism, including in a Special Class context.
The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, current Garda vetting requirements, satisfactory pre-employment medical screening via the OHS, completion of Children First online training, and Patron approval.
