An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This position is to cover a career break.
Initial duties are as a mainstream class teacher but this may be subject to change at the discretion of the principal. Coolard NS is seeking professionals who are team players with a willingness to contribute to the overall development of the school both curricular and extra curricular. Excellent classroom management skills, planning skills and flexibility are essential for this position.
The following skills and experiences are desirable:
Probation
Experience of teaching in a multi grade setting
Knowledge and experience of teaching children with additional educational needs and complex needs in a mainstream setting.
Interests/skills/experience in music, STEM, IT, extra curricular activities are advantageous
Experience and knowledge of ICT in the classroom to enhance the learning experiences of pupils
