Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
There are two SNA positions available at Bansha National School
1 Full-Time SNA post and one Infant Day SNA post (0.83)
The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. They should be energetic, enthusiastic and flexible.
All members of the school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD.
Previous experience in working with children with ASD or complex needs is desirable.
Any additional qualifications in special needs/ First Aid/ Manual handling/ Positive Behaviour/Support strategies/PECS/Autism Courses etc would be advantageous.
The initial duties may change according to the care needs of the pupils. The appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and completion of Children First online training.
Please include PF1 form and mark clearly if applicable.
Applicants must satisfy all DES appointment criteria.
These posts are subject to review by the DES/NCSE.
