An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Lua Naofa invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of full-time Special Needs Assistant.
• We are looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school.
• We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team and work on his/her own initiative.
• Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
• Experience of and/or, training in working with children with ASD, OT, EBD, diabetes and medical care needs is desirable.
• Experience of the TEACCH and ABC approaches to intervention would be advantageous.

Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
