The Model School Bailieborough is a Church of Ireland ethos national school under the patronage of the Department of Education. We are a five teacher school with four mainstream class teachers and a Special Educational Needs (S.E.T.) teacher. We have one full time Special Needs Assistant (S.N.A.) and one part-time Special Needs Assistant. The school also employs a part time caretaker and secretary.
Our school is committed to establishing and maintaining a school environment that allows our pupils to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
This position is for a Teaching Principal. It is a permanent post. The role and responsibilities of the post are determined by the four domains of leadership and management as set out in Circular 0044/2019:
Leading teaching and learning
Managing the organisation
Leading school development
Developing leadership capacity.
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland, be fully Garda Vetted and have a minimum of five years teaching experience.
The appointment will be subject to confirmation of qualifications, occupational health screening, satisfactory references and current and continuing Teacher Council registration.
This is an open competition.
