Scoil Naomh Bríde is a rural, co-educational school, situated in Blackwater, Co.Wexford. There are 235 pupils enrolled in the school. The advertised position is for an administrative principal, to commence on May 7th. The appointment is subject, but not limited to, current and continuing registration with the Teaching Council. The roles and responsibilities of the position are set out in the four domains, as outlined in the Leadership and Management Circular 0044/2019 - chapter 4.
The following knowledge, skills, experience and competencies are desirable:
- a clear understanding and commitment to the ethos, identity and
characteristic spirit of a Catholic school
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- proven ability to work as a member of a team and as a team
leader
- in-depth knowledge of the curriculum
- understanding and knowledge of special educational needs,
inclusion and diversity in education
- proven leadership skills, including policy development and
implementation
- evidence of continuing CPD in a leadership role
- experience of developing, implementing, operating and
evaluating innovative school-based iniatives
- experience of Droichead
- ability to foster links with parents/guardians and the wider school
community
