FET Trainer

Threshold Training Network provides accredited education programmes and mental health and wellbeing skills training to adults with experience of mental health difficulties. Courses are designed to nurture students’ confidence in their ability to progress into further training, education or move towards employment.
We invite applications for the services of a part time trainer (one or two sessions per week) for delivery of one or more the following modules:
• QQI Level 3 Computer Literacy 3N0881
• QQI Level 3 Internet Skills 3N0931
• QQI Level 4 Communications 4N0689
• QQI Level 4 Information Technology 4N1125

Sessions run either in the morning from 10:30am to 1:15pm
Or the afternoons from 1:45pm to 4:15pm
Flexibility arounds days and times can be discussed.
Requirements for the role:
• A recognised teaching/ training qualification and or experience in the field of Community Education
• A qualification relevant to the subject area
• A creative and positive approach to learning
• Experience and/or an interest in working with vulnerable groups
• A commitment to work from a non-discriminatory, rights based perspective
This role plays a key part in ensuring that the Course delivery requirements of TTN’s services meet the standards agreed by TTN’s board of directors and the organisation’s funding providers, while upholding the organisation’s values and philosophy supporting personal wellbeing and mental health recovery.
Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) are our main funding providers.
