Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a 0.4 Part Time Post consisting of working 2 Full Days per week, which are Monday and Tuesday for the 2023/2024 year. These days are subject to change in future years.
Requirements:
SNA QQI Level 5 and or 6 Qualification.
An additional qualification in additional/special needs care is advantageous.
Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development is advantageous.
The duties of this post are supporting the care needs of pupils with additional need, as laid out by the Department of Education & Skills in Circular 0030/2014
Candidates must be willing to uphold the ethos of the school.
The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and will be expected to avail of further training as required. Initial duties may be subject to change.
Only those applicants shortlisted for interview will receive a reply. If called for interview, the applicant must be available to attend interview in person at the assigned time and date.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, confirmation of qualifications, and occupational health screening. This position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
