Computer Science Teacher
Description:
UniHaven College is recruiting a Computer Science teacher to teach Computer Science and Information Systems modules in class in Maynooth. Successful applicants will have the ability to teach students from a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds of different language levels. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled teacher who is looking to teach in international education.
UniHaven College is an Irish-founded QQI-approved international education provider that is teaching its QQI Level 5 Certificate in International Foundation Studies programme in Maynooth from January 2024. UniHaven Limited is a subsidiary of Cambridge Education Group (CEG) (UK) and forms a key component of its ONCAMPUS Ireland division.
Essential
• Degree qualified at NFQ level 8 minimum.
• Garda Vetting – will be arranged through UniHaven.
• Teaching experience – 3 years minimum (essential).
• Experience in teaching, assessment and learning support (essential).
Desirable
• Recognised TEFL certification (CELTA, Trinity TESOL or QQI Certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) - NFQ Level 7 (Special Purpose Award)).
• Postgraduate degree in a related discipline.
• Teaching qualification.
• Experience and expertise in programme development.
Skills
• Demonstrate cross-cultural awareness and understanding.
• A commitment to teamwork, and an ability to manage resources effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including native speaker fluency in English.
• Competence in the effective use of Information Communications Technologies (ICT).
• Planning and organisational skills and an ability to take initiative within the curriculum objectives.
• Attention to detail, thoroughness, and fairness.
