An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This position is a standard 0.5 SNA post.

Harcourt Terrace ETNS is a warm and inclusive primary school, located in the heart of Dublin city centre. Our school first opened its doors in 2018 with one Junior Infant class. Since then, we have grown to cater for mainstream classes from Junior Infants-4th class, as well as two classes for autistic students. When fully developed there will be 24 mainstream classes and 2 specialised autism classes.

We are currently situated in temporary accommodation, in Rathmines since Sep 2021. Our permanent home in Harcourt Terrace, is under construction at present. We hope to be moved, into our state of the art forever home by September 2024. Our school’s permanent location is situated in the city centre (D02 FC64), which will be easily accessed by various modes of public transport to school by all stakeholders. Applicants should be aware that there will be no parking available on our school site.

We are inviting applications from candidates who are highly motivated, committed and forward-thinking SNA’s, who display adaptivity, creativity and initiative. The successful candidate will support children with care needs including autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, toileting needs and non-verbal communication needs. Experience and/or training in working with children with autism is desirable.

Applicants who are shortlisted, will be given a minimum of seven days’ notice, to attend for interview and should reply by email to accept or decline the interview.
