An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
At St. Joseph's, all the children have a visual impairment, and many have additional complex needs including physical and medical, behavioural and learning disabilities.
For school year 2023-2024, we have the following vacancies:
• 4 full-time fixed-term positions
• 1 full-time subbing position to cover carer’s leave
• 1 part-time subbing position – one day a week
All SNAs at our school must have a qualification in patient handling, including use of hoist, and experience in assisting children with personal care and mobility needs. Duties can include assisting children with behavioural needs, with specialised feeding needs and with the administration of suctioning.
