An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

As this post is conditional on 30th September enrolments, this post can only be filled on a temporary basis up to Friday 27th October 2023.
If the school has achieved the projected enrolment figures on 30th September 2023 for pupils that require language support, the post can be filled on a fixed term basis for the remainder of the year.
As early as possible in October, the Department will inform the school if this vacancy is required to facilitate the redeployment of a surplus permanent/CID holding teacher.
If the school has not achieved the projected enrolment figures on 30th September 2023, the allocation will be reviewed and the school informed of the revised allocation.
