An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of Finglas Parochial National School seeks to appoint a full-time SNA on Junior Day hours to our school. The role of the SNA is as set out in Section 5 of DES Circular 30/2014.

Finglas Parochial National School is a small, vibrant mainstream school with inclusive practice at its heart. The ideal person to fill this role will be someone who is excited at the prospect of working with our wonderful children, is happy to work cohesively as part of a small and dynamic team, and is passionate about their work. A special interest in working with children with an Autism diagnosis and/or emotional and behavioural needs is necessary for this role.

Our team values kindness, compassion, equality of access to education, and an integrity that forms the basis of all that we do in the school. Experience in the role of SNA is not essential, however a recognised qualification in this area is required.
