Additional Information:
St. Mary's Parochial School is a Church of Ireland school under the patronage of the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory. Staffing includes 2 mainstream class teachers, 1 Special Education Teacher shared with Gaelscoil and 1 SNA. This position is for a Teaching Principal .
Our school strives to promote the happiness and confidence of each child. In addition to high academic expectations, pupils are provided with opportunities to participate in school and community-based activities.
Roles and Responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in Circular 0044/2019.

2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland, be fully Garda vetted and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
The following skills, knowledge, experience and competencies are desirable:
Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven capacity in leadership and management in a school setting.
A knowledge of and commitment to supporting the Church of Ireland Ethos of the school.
Experience in development, implementation and evaluation of school base initiatives.
A knowledge of School Self Evaluation.
Evidence of and commitment to ongoing Professional Development.
Appointment will be subject to current setting requirements and occupational health screening, satisfactory references and current and continuing Teaching Council Registration. Please mark envelopes clearly with 'Application for Principal Post'.
