Glanduff National School is a rural co-educational primary school, which caters for pupils from junior infants to sixth class under the patronage of the Bishop of Elphin.
As of 1st September 2023, the staff will comprise of 6 mainstream teachers, 2 special education teachers, 1 shared special education teacher, 3 special needs assistants, 1 part-time secretary and 1 part-time cleaner.
Roles and responsibilities for the principal post are set out in the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in DES Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
Candidates should have current and continuing Teaching Council registration and show evidence of and commitment to ongoing Professional Development. The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening. In addition, the successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education. A copy of this qualification must accompany the application. A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.
