dabbledoo is an independent Irish company dedicated to providing
primary schools with the online resources, training and support to deliver
arts education in primary schools. We are a team of educators, artists,
musicians and designers with a passion for arts education and its potential
to enrich the lives of children and create a better world.
At dabbledoo we believe that every child should have the opportunity to
experience quality arts education in primary school. We believe that every
teacher should have the most accessible, engaging and relevant resources
to make this possible.
We currently provide music and drama programmes for schools and are
now developing a visual arts programme.
Job Overview
We are looking for a new full-time member of the team to develop our
visual art programme for teachers, parents and children across Ireland.
Responsibilities
• To develop lessons, planning content and structure for our full
primary school visual arts programme
• To work with the music lead and drama lead to integrate lessons and
themes in line with the new primary school curriculum
• To work with our production team to create video content,
animations and other online materials to make visual art more
accessible in primary schools.
• To maintain, develop and promote the art course as part of
dabbledoo’s aim to lead a revolution in arts education.
Pay and Benefits
• Full-time contract with a starting salary of €40K per year with annual
review
• A range of employee benefits including health insurance and pension
contribution
• Flexible hours and work location.
• Office and studio are in Dublin City centre.
Skills and Experience
• Enthusiasm and expertise in arts education
• Experience teaching in primary school classrooms
• An in-depth knowledge of the primary school curriculum
• Ability to work creatively and work in a self directed manner
• Ability to work as part of a small team in a collaborative way
• Willingness to learn and adapt to meet new ways of working
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
