An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Drung (No.2) Central National School is a two-teacher school under Church of Ireland patronage. Drung (No.2) Central National School seeks to create a happy, secure environment in which each child discovers the joy of learning, gains self-confidence, self-respect and the necessary skills in order to achieve his / her potential academic standards and to successfully meet the challenges and opportunities in his / her life.

The position is a permanent 0.5 post (16hours – 3hrs and 12mins per day, 8:50am – 12:02pm initially). This post is subject to NCSE review.

Experience of working with pupils with a moderate intellectual disability, autism, mobility and toileting needs is preferable.

Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA supplementary panel, with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed PF1 form WITH their application.

Appointment will be subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and satisfactory references. Relevant qualifications required, as per Department of Education requirements.
