Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Bus Escort will be required to accompany and support pupils with ASD on the school bus. The post is between 10 to 15 hours per week (every morning and afternoon).
The Bus Escort should be available between 8.00am and 9:30am and between 13:45pm and 16:00pm. The exact hours will be confirmed in mid October, depending on the bus route.
The Bus Escort will make sure that all aspects of safety are carried out effectively.
Good communication skills are essential and experience of caring for/working with children with additional needs is desirable. Please include details of any Continuous Professional Development such as First Aid/Manual Handling etc.
Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting requirements, occupational health check and verification of references. Please include names and contact details of two referees; one work reference and one character reference.
